The True T-49DT-HC is a versatile refrigerator freezer combo designed to store both frozen and chilled foods. Its left section operates as a refrigerator, maintaining temperatures between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit, while the right section serves as a freezer, maintaining a chilly -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Each section features its independent capillary tube system, ensuring quick temperature recovery and efficient cooling using either R134A or R404A refrigerant.
This unit's condenser unit is conveniently located close to the ground, avoiding the hottest spots in the kitchen. However, this placement may expose it to more dirt and debris than top-mounted units. To combat this, the fan motor regularly reverses direction when the compressor starts, blowing in reverse for 20 seconds to minimize dust, debris, and dirt buildup on the condensing coil. While this self-cleaning feature is effective, regular maintenance remains essential for optimal unit lifespan.
The cabinet is well-insulated with high-density polyurethane to promote energy-efficient cooling. The exterior back and sides are constructed from anodized aluminum, while the front and doors are made of durable stainless steel. Inside, the aluminum interior is coated with a clear finish for easy cleaning, and the floors are stainless steel with coved corners.
